“The quality and integrity of a business starts with the person in charge, and Paul Conrado is a great example of an excellent leader. Paul’s company helped my wife and me deal with a potentially very expensive roof-engineering problem in the most effective manner. Focusing on understanding our objectives, Conrado Home Builders was able to deliver a solution that looked great, was cost-effective, and met all code requirements. We could not be happier. No matter what your house project (new home, remodel, or maintenance/repair), with Conrado Home Builders, you’ll have Paul on your side, understanding what you want, ensuring you know what is going on, and delivering what you expect.”

“Our 20-year-old home (built by someone else) is large and complex. Over the last several years we have used the Conrado Company for both large and small projects including a new roof and solar panel installation. The project was managed with care, precision, and attention to detail. Conrado has excellent relationships with the best subs that do great work. Other excellently managed and executed projects include a major retrofit of the hot water system, flawless replacement of damaged exterior wood, and smaller electrical and plumbing projects. Paul Conrado is extraordinarily experienced. His company will always do it right!”

“With the team at Conrado Company at the helm of our homebuilding project, Raj and I were confident that we were in the best possible hands with the construction of our 9,000 sq. ft. home in Saratoga. To add to the sound construction management leadership they provide, everyone at Conrado was interested in our lives and the lives of our children. It’s very clear that the Conrado team cares. We feel like we are part of the Conrado family. I really can’t say enough about our positive building experience. It’s a true partnership with the Conrado team.”

“We spent more than a year trying to get several independent contractors to complete a small project on our house (for six months we had a blue tarp covering a hole in the side of the house). When we decided to build a 3000 sq ft multi-use building (winery, agricultural, entertainment, etc.) on the property, we knew we needed a new approach. During our search for a builder, we got several highly favorable recommendations for the Conrado Company. At our first meeting, Paul Conrado mentioned that his philosophy was to produce honest/realistic estimates for the costs, which might be higher than some other builders (at least initially), but would not rise because every little thing needed an "upgrade" (i.e.: “You wanted a drain in that sink? That’s gonna cost you.”).
Paul came to all of the design meetings with our architect to ensure that what was being proposed would both work for our needs and would fit our budget. He offered reasonable alternatives when proposed options didn't seem quite right. When the design was complete and the initial bid finally came in, it was a little higher than we'd hoped. However, we worked with Paul and were able to bring the cost down without sacrificing any of our key requirements. For example, reviewing our original roof choice, Conrado pointed out that it would cost less to import tiles from France than pay for local reclaimed mission tiles (our original choice). Now we have the most amazing roof ever, perfect for a winery, and cost effective.
Once construction started, we were never more than a couple of weeks off the initial construction schedule. This was quite a change from having to pull teeth to get a contractor out when we tried to manage our own project. Problems were caught and addressed immediately by the project manager, Dan Singleton. We ended up coming in on budget and a week ahead of schedule. The quality of the construction is awesome. We had a furniture builder in to do some work and he was amazed by the workmanship on both the window frames and exposed rafters. One section of the building is covered in stone. A friend in the process of building their own home remarked that it must be nice that we were able to use a full stones rather than veneer for our building. It turns out we did use veneer, but it was installed so well, it looked just like the real thing.
Overall, Conrado made building a painless process, which is no small feat.”

"We would like to give great appreciation to the Conrado Company and especially Christine Klatt for the handling of our recent water damage due to a leaky condensation pipe found in our electrical closet. Having had Conrado build our home (completion in July 2002), they were the first call we placed when we discovered some water damage in our basement. They were not only immediate with their response but were also extremely thorough as they detected where the water was coming from and how we were going to remedy the problem. Christine was timely in arranging for subcontractors to come out and always was in communication with us through phone and email about the progress of our project. Our “cure” ended up being somewhat complex and Christine was always both pleasant to work with and extremely professional. We are now completely back to new and are so happy with the care we received by the group at Conrado. We have had a long standing relationship with them after having them build our home and we are very grateful that we have a group to call to help with any problems, who know our home so intimately!"
